About the event
The long anticipated short film KRANK, directed by Coyo Alexander.
Faced with a desperate situation, he has no choice.
Our film tells the story of our main character Kenneth, who is a devoted family man who could do no wrong. His world begins to change in front of him when, out of desperation, he has to find a new hustle to support his family’s ever growing needs.
There a literally millions of stories similar to his; We've experienced these stories ourselves. Everyday we are placed in difficult situations which are so demanding that we have no time to think, only act. The choices we make are determined by our past experiences, and will also shape our future.
Witnessing the struggles in my life and my peers lives has inspired this story.
KRANK depicts a harsh reality and the desperate decisions he is forced to make. Even though Kenneth is a hard-working family man, he must live with the constant fear of feeling out of control of his situation and the victim of his circumstances.
We wanted to tell this story. And now, we proudly present our film to you.
This is a powerful film of love, hope and of what it truly means to have faith even in the most bleak situations.
This film transcends spiritual and religious lines and illuminates the reality of the challenges that we face everyday as humans and the choices/methods we choose to cope with/overcome them.
