Highly anticipated short film, Krank will premiere in May
Mediatech Institute Houston, in association with Love Motion Pictures and ABC Media are hosting a screening of the new, highly anticipated short film drama Krank at University of Houston SC Bayou City on Friday, May 11, 2018 at 7:00pm.
Krank tells the story of Kenneth Rank, a devoted family man who could do no wrong. His world begins to change in front of him when, out of desperation, he has to find a new hustle to support his family’s growing needs.
There are literally millions of stories similar to his; we’ve experienced these stories ourselves. Every day we are faced with difficult situations which are so demanding that we have no time to think, only act. The choices we make are determined by our past experiences, and shape our future.
The film depicts a harsh reality, and despite the desperate decisions he is forced to make. Even though Kenneth is a hard-working family man, he must live with the constant fear of feeling out of control of his situation and a victim of his circumstances.
The screening at University of Houston is part of Krank’s campaign to urge the Houston community to support and enjoy creative arts.
The film was created by Houston natives, Coyo Alexander, Aaron Doucette, and Brian Neely.
The film was directed by Coyo Alexander, a flourishing female director who is making her mark in the Houston film industry with her directorial debut in Krank.
